Tats Kobayashi is the Principal Trainer of Functional Fitness Hawaii. With over 40 years of weightlifting, bodybuilding, and martial arts experience, he was a former Mr. Highschool bodybuilding champion in 1978. Now at age 53 and an avid golfer and snowboarder, Tats has focused his exercise routine to a lighter training method including light resistance, cardio, core and flexibility training. He calls it Functional Fitness or the sensible approach to exercise.
Tats also has a background as a Shiatsu and Sports Massage Therapist & Instructor. Not only does he understand the importance of exercise physiology but the biomechanics and kinesiology of the human body - the way you walk, stand and sit.
